Committed to the educational process and their personal beliefs, the partners at Collegistics understand that donating time and expertise is an essential piece of the college application picture on a holistic level. Collegistics has partnered, on a pro bono basis, with Let's Get Ready and STEP to offer assistance in navigating the college application process.
Let's Get Ready (LGR) is a non-profit organization that helps low-income and first-generation high school students prepare for college admissions. Eligible students are provided free, intensive SAT preparation and assistance with all aspects of the college application process. Collegistics consults for Let's Get Ready regarding its "College Choice" workshops. The college advisors at Collegistics are currently working with volunteers from LGR to develop an adult mentoring program to accomplish the goal of providing one-on-one adult mentors to rising seniors during the college application process. The partners at Collegistics also personally advise individual students selected by LGR.
The Scarsdale Transfer Education Plan (STEP) is an independent community program that identifies promising minority students from other regions of the country and enables them to attend Scarsdale High School (SHS) for their junior and senior years. Collegistics advises STEP students during their tenure at SHS, helping not only with the college application process, but with financial aid and scholarship applications as well.
